Muse Goes To OC For One Night : JUNE 2006
MUSE AT RUSSELL'S IN IRVINE : 18+!
Friday, June 23rd 2006

Due to unforeseen circumstances with our current venue, The Stock Exchange, we are forced to move this Friday's edition of Muse to a new location. We feel it beneficial to have America's Next Generation play at an existing Drum & Bass night, so we contacted the Freebass Fridays crew. Our entire artist line-up will now be performing at their location in addition to their existing bill.

We apologize to our loyal and faithful following and promise to be back at The Stock Exchange on July 14th for Gridlok's first residency and record release party, then on the 28th for a special night with Cyantific and more!

Your continued support through this slight glitch is greatly appreciated. We hope to see you in Orange County for this very special event!

Muse Announces Venue Change : APRIL 2006
MUSE REVAMPED!
Beginning Friday, May 12th 2006

The BIG News
After nearly 5 years of providing forward-thinking Drum and Bass for the people of Los Angeles every 2nd and 4th Friday, MUSE is re-located, re-imagined, and REVAMPED!

Combining efforts with United Drum & Bass, MUSE expands its reach far beyond the humble beginnings at a North Hollywood bar in 2001. Accelerated growth and expansion took place over the last few years, when MUSE joined forces with the long-running Hollywood house night, Free Thinkin'. The collaboration proved to be successful enough to warrant a move Casey's in Downtown Los Angeles . Attended by the movers and shakers from both inside and out of the loyal D&B scene, MUSE has steadily grown into one of the most consistent and well-loved nights out in LA.

Building upon one of the strongest fan bases of any Drum and Bass event in Los Angeles, MUSE now moves away from Free Thinkin' to the historic Stock Exchange club. In addition to tens of thousands of Turbosound watts, we're stepping up our presence in every lineup with some of the most influential and progressive drum and bass artists of today. All the while our main priority will be staying true to our solid reputation as being a diverse and interactive night of unique music.

Venue - The Stock Exchange 618 S. Spring Street
The Stock Exchange was built in 1930 and was originally used for the Stock Market trade. Its striking Art Deco design both in and out will provide a lush and timeless atmosphere, allowing the music make its impact. The club comes equipped with 4+ fully stocked bars, two giant video screens and a multi-level main room. Heightening the dancefloor experience will be best-in-class audio from aural experts Mobius Entertainment. Expect a finely tuned balance between the immense low end and blisteringly pristine mids and highs that will allow absolute artist expression and crowd enjoyment. Beyond this, we at MUSE understand that a club is more than a top-notch sound system at a great venue, so more extensive thought will be put into our lineups than previous years. Apart from these already massive changes, we will be adding special not-so-little touches to each week’s event, so expect the unexpected.

Muse Featured Studio Mix : FEBRUARY 2006
Origin & Kemst - En Route To Los Angeles - 320 kbps _ 1:11:49 _ 164.8 mb

DOWNLOAD HERE

"Floating around on a very limited number of promotional CDs since October 2005, Origin's first studio mix in 4 years emerges as a fine example of his careful selection, original production, dynamic mixing, and diverse group of collaborators including Gridlok, Armanni Reign, Kemst, Skyler Mic, UFO! & More... One of the more unique aspects of this mix is that from it's inception, "En Route To Los Angeles" was intended to showcase what an Origin performance is like. That said, this mix was recorded in one take, and by one take we mean only one take at all; the first time the mix was recorded was the only time, as this is the only true way to represent what a DJ is all about. Other features of note include Origin's hit collaboration with Skyler Mic & UFO! "Overdose"(as heard in sets from Dieselboy, Gridlok, Tactile, and many others), and still-unreleased music sitting right next to some of the most timeless classics of yesteryear. This mix is designed to be as listenable now as it will be in 5 years, and we hope we have succeeded...
Watch out for a very special commercial mix release from Origin coming Winter Music Conference 2006 featuring unreleased and remixed (cough, Ableton, cough) material from Project Fifty One, Timewave Audio, and many others..."
